Coffee, work and Wi-Fi in Quebec City

Let's face it: it's good to work outside of our usual surroundings from time to time, but it can be difficult to find the perfect place for productivity. Here is a list of cafés where you can work quietly and get access to wireless Internet.

Nektar Cafeologue

235, rue Saint-Joseph E, Québec, QC G1K 3B1

These cafés in the Saint-Roch and Limoilou neighbourhoods provide a trendy space and delicious coffee to fuel your productivity. With two locations and a nice variety of coffees from around the world, this is a solid choice for a meeting or work session.

CAFE Cafe

1
433 Rue Saint-Joseph E, Québec, QC G1K 3B6

Specializing in teas, this spot in the Saint-Roch neighbourhood is quiet and trendy. In addition to teas, you can enjoy several types of coffee, bubble tea, tea soda and smoothies, not to mention they offer a matcha bar. For those who love tea, this is the ideal place to work.

Starbucks

2
75 boul René-Lévesque O, Québec, QC G1R 2A3

There are Starbucks locations almost everywhere in the city, and all of them offer free wireless Internet access – and snacks. When you need to send an email quickly, meet with an associate or work productively, head to Starbucks.

Presse Café

3
2825, boulevard Laurier, Sainte-Foy, QC G1V 2L9

If you’re in Sainte-Foy, downtown or in the Old Port of Quebec City, you will find a Press Café nearby. WiFi is free and there are outlets everywhere for plugging in your computer. Also, the menu is interesting and the coffee is delicious!

Brulerie St-Roch

4
375, rue Saint-Joseph E, Québec, QC G1K 3B3

If you’re hoping to work in a relaxed atmosphere while drink great coffee, any of the six Les brûleries ("coffee house") locations is a good choice. Those who love tea will be happy to know the chai tea latte is delicious, and sometimes the barista adds a nice touch by creating a shape on the surface of the drink as they pour milk into it. Wireless Internet is available with any purchase at all locations (Saint-Roch, Limoilou, Sainte-Foy, Vanier, rue Saint-Jean and Vieux-Limoilou).

Café Temporel

5
25, rue Couillard, Québec, QC G1R 3T4

If you’re looking to work, meet an associate, drink excellent coffee or have a bite to eat, Chez Temporel is the spot for you. If you need to squeeze in a full day of work, this place is a must. The croque-monsieur is a good choice for lunch, and the service is excellent.

Brûlerie Rousseau

6
110-710 rue Bouvier, Québec, QC G2J 1C2

With three locations (Sainte-Foy, Lebourgneuf and rue Cartier) and over 50 different coffees, this coffee house is the perfect place to work. Their delicious soups and panini are also a good choice. The Lebourgneuf location is my favourite as the place is calm and less busy during the day.
